Professional Development

Quality Standards cannot and should not be developed and implemented without the opportunities, tools, and resources being made available for effective and ongoing Professional Development.

 

As with any career or profession, the need for ongoing growth and the possibilities of progression are much needed components for job satisfaction and personal fulfillment.

 

However, different than most other professional arenas, the direct result of effective Afterschool staff development can result in engaged and challenged students who embrace growth and personal advancement.

 

Therefore, it is the goal of ALACN to include online resources, provide regional and state workshops and forums, and promote as many state, regional and national opportunities as possible.
